Happy group wait to tee off at Eaton

The Ladies of the Links - looking splendid!

Eaton Golf Club in Norwich was the venue for Past Masters Old Links Golf's first event in Norfolk.  Again, the weather was forecast to be dire - with thunderstorms and heavy downpours expected on the Big Day - Sunday 4 June.

Despite this, over sixty golfers gathered to celebrate the club's centenary, many donning clothing of the period, a bold move with the forecast of rain especially for the ladies with their long skirts and wonderful hats.  There was, in the end, just one heavy shower late in the afternoon so again, everyone thought themselves quite fortunate and the cloudy skies were more than compensated for by the sunny smiles and cheery chat around the course and the clubhouse as the photos show.

Judging by the interest from many of those attending, we are sure that our first visit to this part of the world won't be our last.  We could not have asked for a warmer welcome or a more memorable day and it was clear that everyone had a great time.
